Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This privacy policy explains how Caiphus Muleele (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses, and safeguards information provided through caiphus.co.za (the “site”). It is written to be clear and honest rather than legalistic. If anything is unclear, please get in touch.

1. What information I collect

  • Contact form data: when you submit the enquiry form, I collect the name, email, optional phone number, optional subject, and the message you choose to share.
  • Technical data: basic server logs generated automatically by my hosting provider (IP address, browser, pages visited, approximate location) for security and performance monitoring.
  • Cookies: only strictly-necessary cookies required to run the site. I do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Why I collect it

  • To respond to enquiries and requests for proposals.
  • To keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful.
  • To comply with legitimate legal and accounting obligations.

3. Legal basis

I rely on your consent (when you submit the contact form) and on legitimate interests (keeping the site secure and improving it). Where required by law, such as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), I comply with the obligations of a responsible party.

4. How long I keep it

Contact enquiries are kept for as long as necessary to conclude our conversation or the resulting engagement, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case we need to pick things up again. You can ask me to delete your data at any time.

5. Who I share it with

I do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by reputable service providers I use to run the site (for example, my hosting platform, email notification provider, and database provider). They act under confidentiality and data-protection terms.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the database is access-controlled, and contact submissions are stored securely. No system is perfect, but I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share.

7. Your rights

You can request access to the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

8. International transfers

Some of the service providers I use may process data outside South Africa. Where that is the case, I take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect any changes.

10. Contact
